The Total Body Detoxification Program

Imagine what would happen to your car if you never changed the oil or the filters.  Do you think it would run as well?  The car’s system has to be kept clean so the car will run more efficiently and last longer. The same thing happens in your body when your system becomes polluted from processed food, chemicals, medicines, food additives, heavy metals, personal care products and much more. Our organs have a limited capacity to “detoxify” most toxins which causes them to accumulate over time manifesting a variety of negative effects.  Nutritional detoxification removes these toxins that may cause abnormal metabolism, impaired digestion, weight gain, and low energy.  Some studies even suggest that excessive toxins may contribute to autoimmune diseases, inflammatory or rheumatoid arthritis, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease.   Our goal at the Chiropractic Nutrition is to help you do everything you love to do by helping you detoxify your system, enhance your nutritional intake and allowing you to move better through spinal correction and weight loss programs.

Total Body Detoxification Program Tests

 Metabolic testing provides a measurement of calories used to maintain basic life functions such as circulatory, respiratory and brain function. RMR typically accounts for 60-75% of total energy used in a healthy person.  A body fat analysis will also be done in conjunction with the metabolic testing delivering measurement results for Bi method (Bioelectrical Impedance Method) and BMI (Body Mass Index)

Posture and Biomechanical Analysis.  Since all information passes from the brain via the nervous system through the spinal cord into the rest of your bodies, muscle and organs, it is imperative to optimize this physical connection so that it functions at its full potential allowing the body to detoxify quicker while boosting your mental and physical energy.  The posture and biomechanical analysis starts with a record of your weight, height and blood pressure and is followed by several range of motion tests, a posture and spinal analysis by the doctor and x-rays if necessary.    (Radiology reading fee is not included)

Thyroid function questionnaire and testing uses information concerning patient family history, and any know symptoms of low thyroid function such as low energy, fatigue, weight gain, cold hands and feet, depression, slowness of thought, headaches, facial swelling, fluid retention, dry skin, brittle nails, constipation, irregular menstrual cycles, and fertility problems.  Because thyroid blood tests may be normal even though there is low thyroid, a simple basal body temperature test will be used to help diagnose a low thyroid problem.    Optimal thyroid is important for proper functioning of the metabolism, the heart and blood pressure.

A Lifestyle questionnaire is administered to determine one’s current diet and exercise habits, mental ability to focus or loss of memory, stress measurement as well as family history and any current or previous health conditions, accidents or traumas.

Nutrition and Nutraceutical Suppliment programs are given at the end of all testing and evaluations.  Each person receives an individual recommendation for total body detoxification and vitamin or nutraceutical supplements.   A plan for biomechanical correction will also be given at this time.
